About

I'm an AI/ML Engineer in Indonesia. I build applied machine learning projects, LLM applications, and RAG pipelines, then work through the less glamorous parts: evaluation, APIs, data, and deployment.

My professional role is Software Engineer, Data Platform at XLSmart. I build services and data workflows with FastAPI, Spark, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Tencent Cloud. That experience is a foundation for the AI systems I want to build, not a substitute for AI/ML work.

Before engineering full time, I taught AI/ML to more than a thousand students. Teaching made me less patient with vague answers. If I cannot explain a system plainly, I probably do not understand it well enough yet.

I am still building depth in MLOps and production ML. The projects here show the work as it is, including what has not been solved yet.

Software Engineer, Data Platform

April 2026 - Present

XLSmart - Full-time (Jakarta, Indonesia | Remote)

Design and ship production REST APIs in Python with FastAPI, deployed as Tencent SCF serverless functions.
Build batch ETL pipelines on Tencent WeData, processing data with Spark on Data Lake Compute (DLC).
Own PostgreSQL schema design and query tuning for timestamp-heavy tables, including the indexes that decide whether a dashboard loads or times out.
Migrated serverless workloads from AWS to Tencent Cloud as part of the platform consolidation.

Data Automation Engineer

April 2025 - January 2026

Orbit Future Academy - Full-time (Jakarta, Indonesia)

Ran class and instructor allocation for over 1,000 learners and coaches in the AWS re/Start Indonesia program.
Automated attendance processing end to end: manual matching went from 5 days to about 5 minutes.
Built the tooling behind learner progress tracking, taking reporting from 2 days down to 2 minutes.
Kept program operations on schedule by working closely with instructors and the ops team.

Led the design of AI & ML curricula for 1,000+ students.
Built an automated assessment and tracking system with Google Sheets and scripting. Processing time went from 33 hours to under 5 minutes.
Mentored and upskilled 20+ instructors through ongoing workshops.
